Saints and Sinners, Sinners and Saints

We preach about morals

But we act against our words

We think we are superior

But we roam around in herds

Those endless speeches about empathy and love

Completely lose their meaning once we stop looking above

We worship acts of kindness

But only when they’re given

And won’t do a thing for someone in need

Unless we’re really driven

Don’t steal, don’t lie and think before you speak

Are really pretty simple

But why do the only ones who seem to give a damn

End up alone, beaten and completely miserable?
